Orphans account for around 10% of Zambia’s total population with many more children living in vulnerable situations. A major focus of the Trust’s work in Zambia is on community services that support and develop orphans and vulnerable children in the areas of education, health and pastoral care.
The Trust partners charities, church groups and local communities that are running orphanages, schools, training centres and clinics that target orphans and vulnerable children as well as the general population.
The Trust has recently entered a three year development programme with Zambia Orphans of Aids (see “Partners”) that will build the charity’s administrative capacity and expand the number of its projects.
