As well as the commercial charter business, the company coordinates ad hoc and large-scale humanitarian relief air charters for the United Nations, governments, NGOs and other aid providers. In fact, nearly every emergency airlift mission in the last 35 years has involved Chapman Freeborn Airchartering chartered aircraft. Major operations have included supporting hte response to the Asian Tsunami; earthquakes in Pakistan, Haiti and Japan; floods in Burma; unrest in the middle East; and humanitarian crises in Darfur and across Africa.
The Estelle Trust is Chapman Freeborn’s charity of choice and in addition to contributions towards the water aid programme since its initiation, ongoing donations will benefit Estelle Trust projects that support orphans and vulnerable children through education and other means.
